Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of thecareerforge.co and any services you book or buy from [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (“CareerForge”, “we”, “us”). By using the Site, booking a call, or buying a plan you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or services. You must be at least 18 years old.
Our services
CareerForge offers career coaching and related services, including resume and ATS optimization, LinkedIn profile rewriting, interview and salary-negotiation coaching, job-search strategy, and introductions to recruiters. The scope of each plan is described on the Site at the time you buy it and in any written confirmation we send. Free 15-minute strategy calls are an introductory conversation and are not a service plan.
Founder-led coaching draws on our experience as a practicing US recruiter. We are a coaching business, not an employment agency or staffing firm. We do not place candidates, we do not charge employers, and we do not act as your agent or negotiate on your behalf unless a plan expressly says so.
No guarantee of employment
We cannot guarantee interviews, job offers, salary levels or timelines. Outcomes depend on your background, target market, effort, and factors outside our control such as employer decisions and economic conditions.
Examples, statistics and client stories on the Site describe past experiences, are not typical or guaranteed results, and may be illustrative. Your results will vary. The only outcome-based commitment we make is the 30-day callback guarantee in the Refund Policy, which is limited to the remedy described there.
Recruiter introductions are introductions only. A recruiter’s willingness to speak with you, any role discussed, and any resulting offer are entirely at the recruiter’s and employer’s discretion. We do not guarantee that any recruiter will contact you or have a suitable role.
Booking, orders and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude any taxes or payment-provider fees your bank may add. Where required by law, applicable taxes are your responsibility.
- Payment is processed by third-party providers (currently Razorpay and PayPal). Their terms also apply, and we do not store full card details.
- Split payments are available on request. By choosing one you agree to pay every instalment on its due date. Details are in the Refund Policy.
- Work begins once we receive payment (or the first instalment) and the information we reasonably need from you. Delivery timelines are estimates and depend on you responding promptly.
- Plans with limited capacity (for example a maximum number of clients per month) are offered on a first-come basis and are confirmed only after payment.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate, complete and truthful information. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything on your resume and profiles, and we will not add false or misleading claims.
- Review deliverables and request revisions within the period stated in your plan.
- Make your own decisions about which jobs to apply for and what to say in interviews; follow the process we outline if you want to be eligible for any guarantee.
- Do not share your account, call links or deliverables for resale, and do not use the services for anything unlawful.
- Comply with the law and with the rules of employers and platforms (for example, work-authorization requirements) that apply to you.
Intellectual property and your content
The Site, its design, text, graphics, code, checklists, templates and materials are owned by or licensed to CareerForge and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, scrape, resell or create derivative works from them except as allowed by law.
Your deliverables. Once you have paid in full, you may use the resumes, profiles and documents we write for you for your own personal job search. Your materials. You keep ownership of the content you give us and grant us a limited licence to use it solely to deliver your services (and, if you ask, to share it with recruiters). With your written permission only, we may use anonymized or attributed results and testimonials in marketing.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site: no attempts to interfere with security or operation, no automated scraping, no uploading malware, no spam or unlawful, harassing or deceptive content through our forms, and no impersonation. We may suspend access to protect the Site or other users.
Confidentiality
We treat your resume, career situation and call content as confidential and use it only to provide services as described in our Privacy Policy. Please keep current-employer confidentiality in mind and avoid sharing proprietary information of your employer with us.
Third-party services and links
The Site and services may involve third-party tools, platforms, recruiters, employers and websites (including LinkedIn, Calendly, payment providers and job boards). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, policies or actions.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except the express guarantee in the Refund Policy. Our advice is general career guidance and is not legal, immigration, tax, financial or medical advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerForge and its owners and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of income, job opportunities, profits or data, arising from your use of the Site or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence), or your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from inaccurate or unlawful information you provide, or from your misuse of the services, to the extent permitted by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services at any time (refunds are governed by the Refund Policy). We may suspend or end services if you breach these Terms, stop paying agreed instalments, or abuse our staff or systems; in that case any unpaid instalments remain due for work already begun or delivered. Sections that by their nature should survive (payment, IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. General
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us on this subject. If a provision is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor to the business. We may update these Terms by posting a new date above; changes apply to future use and purchases.
